WE ARE
FASHION REVOLUTIONARIES

Fashion Revolution was founded by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro in response to the Rana Plaza disaster, a catastrophic collapse of a garment production factory in 2013, Dhaka, Bangladesh, which resulted in the death of 1,134 workers, mostly women. Since then, Fashion Revolution has grown into the world’s largest fashion activism movement active in over 90 countries, mobilising citizens, brands, and policymakers through research, education, and advocacy. Our major campaigns include Who Made My Clothes?,
which demands greater transparency in garment production, and
Good Clothes Fair Pay, which advocates for fair wages and better working conditions for garment workers. In the Czech Republic, our country team has been active since 2014 and formally established Fashion Revolution ÄŒeská republika z.s. in 2017.
