EMPOWERING
SYSTEMIC CHANGE
At Fashion Revolution Czech Republic, we believe that systemic change is essential for creating a more transparent, ethical, and sustainable fashion industry.
We educate individuals, companies, and institutions on these values, and, most importantly, we aim to pressure policymakers to establish a fair and clean fashion market.
PROJECTS
Fashion Revolution Week
Fashion Revolution Week is an annual global event held every April to commemorate the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, which claimed the lives of 1,134 garment workers. This week is dedicated to advocating for transparency, ethical practices, and sustainability in the fashion industry. In the Czech Republic, we join the global call to action, encouraging everyone to ask brands, "Who made my clothes?" and to push for a fairer and safer industry for all.

TELLMYS / Application and Workshop
TELLMYS (TELL ME YOUR STORY) is an innovative application designed to promote transparency in the fashion industry. It allows brands to input detailed information about the origins of their products, generating QR codes that customers can scan to learn the stories behind each item, from its production process to its environmental impact. This application safeguards real and verifiable narratives through advanced blockchain technology, ensuring authenticity and preventing misuse.
The TELLMYS project aims to map the stories of clothing across the Visegrad countries- Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia -empowering designers, brands, and retailers to connect with consumers meaningfully.
In 2021, we hosted a workshop for fashion brands committed to ethical practices. Participants were guided in using the TELLMYS application to share their brand stories and product narratives, fostering trust with customers and encouraging a more transparent and sustainable fashion industry.
The workshop was organised in Prague and was offered free of charge, providing a collaborative environment where participants enjoyed lunch and had their travel costs reimbursed.
The TELLMYS application was developed by the Slovak non-profit organisation NITKA o. z., with support from the Visegrad Fund, and in partnership with Fashion Revolution Czech Republic, the National Fashion League Hungary Association (HU), and Slow Fashion Cafe (PL).
